April Fools!!

Yes, you've been fooled.
Hope you enjoyed it, we all sure did!

According to Wikipedia, "April Fools' Day or All Fools' Day is a holiday in its own right, a notable day celebrated in many countries on April 1.  The day is marked by the commission of hoaxes and other practical jokes of varying sophistication on friends, enemies and neighbors, or sending them on fools' errands, the aim of which is to embarrass the gullible."  Check out their listing of famous hoaxes past.

Here you can check out our own April Fools jokes from years past:

  • 2008 - Polgar Quits: "Shocking is not an adequate word for this announcement from Lubbock Texas, home of Susan Polgar, that she is resigning all her chessic positions in the USA - the Chairmanship of the USCF has already been stripped from her by President Bill Goichberg, and now she exits from the board too..."

  • 2007 - There is only one Polgar sister!: "Subtitled:  Outing "Szuzu", a new chess book by Paul Truong, the apparently dedicated Vice-President of Susan Polgar Center, has proved treacherous, and in a forthcoming program with Larry King will blown the whistle!  Advance release clips from the program will be sensational in the chess community, though it is doubted anyone else cares..."
