Use the VCR-style buttons to move through the moves of the game.

When you reach a point in the move list where there are variations, a small "Varianten" window should appear.  Choose the variation, or click on "Hauptvariante - Main Line" to skip the variation.

After playing through a variation, you can return to the main line by clicking the back button several times until you reach a point prior to the variation.  Then go forward again, and choose "Hauptvariante - Main line."

Alternatively, you can click on any move in the move list itself in order to go to that position.

If the game's move list is particularly long, the board may scroll off the screen.   You can usually compensate for this by changing the size of the text.  In Internet Explorer and Netscape 6, select "View" from the menu, and then "Text Size."  In Netscape 4, "View" and "Decrease Font."

When you are finished playing through the game, you may either close or minimize the window to return to Chessville.
