Scott Tingley

Writes Scott: "When I give week-long beginner chess camps through my school district, I won’t play full games with my students until Thursday at the earliest.  My thinking is that if they beat me on Monday they will decide that they have nothing to learn from me and will keep making the untrained moves on Friday that they were making on Monday.

I am not the best player in the world but I do seem to have the ability to teach beginners how to play fairly well pretty quickly.  I am a relative newcomer to chess (six years or so) but I am a lifelong comic-guy and a couple of years back I had the “flash of genius” to blend my chess teachings with comics.

I hope you find it informative and maybe even funny."
