White has sacrificed a lot of material to get to this point, three pieces in fact.  But now White has just two pieces left, aside from his king, while the black king seems to be able to hide behind - ironically - white's own pawns!

What to do?  Clear a path for that rook to join in the king hunt!

1.Qf6+ Kxh5

And now a second clearance sacrifice:

2.g4+ Kxg4

Ah, that's much better now - for White!  Both of Black's moves so far have been forced.

3.Rg1+ Kh5

Of course, Black can choose the method of his demise:

3...Qg2+ 4.Rxg2+ Kh3 5.Qh6#; or
3...Kh3 4.Qf3+ Kh4 5.Qg4#

4.Qf3+ Kh6 5.Qh3#
