The h-pawn is pinned, so of course it performs no defensive duties
whatsoever. Best for Black was 1...Rf7 2.Rxg8+ Kxg8
3.Qh4 but of course, White wins there, too. 2.Rf6

Once again, Black plays a sub-standard move, but who can blame him
really? Especially when the best Black has is the dismal looking
2...Nd5 3.Rxf7 Rxf7 4.Qh5 [diagram]

Removing the final pretense from Black's defensive plans - the poor
black queen was overworked - defending against mate on h7 and also
protecting the rook on f8 - and it proved just too much for her.
