Black to move and win

[need a hint?]     [Solution]     [archive]

White's king is trapped in the corner - notice that the g4-knight blocks his escape via the h-file.  But hold on - Black still delivers checkmate - by giving up that same h2-square, temporarily!

1...Nf2+ 2.Kh2 Neg4 mate

See the difference between the two diagrams?  Black's knight appears to have moved from e3 to f2, when in actuality that knight delivered mate on g4.  Knight moves can be difficult to see, both for you AND your opponent!  So get used to them, work with them, and learn to see where and how they can cooperate.  Here's a good place to start.
