This is a somewhat difficult problem, so don’t feel bad if you have trouble
with it. Most players would likely want to rescue their rook at b8.
We can even see that playing the rook to h8 would threaten a discovered
check by next moving our dark-squared bishop off of h4… White would
likely then queen the pawn…
Is there something there? What if we try to compose a mating net?
Can we do so immediately while leaving the rook en prize? It turns out
we can! 1...Bf3 2.Rhg1

What? Wasn’t the giving up of the Black rook a
little crazy? No, because amazingly, after 2.Bxb8 Bf2; 2.Rag1
Rh8 (2...Bf2 3.Rg3 Rh8+ 4.Rh3 Rg2#) ; 2.c4 Be1 (2...Bf2 3.Bxf2 Rh8+
4.Bh4 Rxh4#) 3.Bxb8 Rh6+ 4.Kg1 Rxh1 is mate.

Analysis Diagram: after 4...Rh1 mate
White sees that capturing the rook on b8 is a quick
loss for him, so he instead plays a rook to g1, hoping to exchange
Black’s deadly rook on the g-file. Notice that other lines prove
to be just as futile.
2...Rh8
Also winning is 2...Bf2 3.Rg3 Rh8+ 4.Rh3 Rxh3+
(4...Rg2+ 5.Kh1 Rxh3#) 5.Kxh3 Rh6#
3.Rg3 Bxg3+ 4.Kg1 Rh1#

Final Position: after 4...Rh1 mate
