By sacrificing the exchange (rook for the knight) White has lured the
Black king onto the same diagonal as his rook.

White's real target isn't the king, but
rather the rook behind the king on the diagonal.

White now wins his exchange back.

White has exchanged off all the remaining Black pieces, save the king,
eliminating any possibility of counterplay. Just for good
measure, White's also completely destroyed Black's pawn structure!
This is an easy win for White, as the queenside passers are
self-protecting, leaving the white king free to either escort one or
both of them to promotion, or eat up Black's kingside pawns and them
push his f-pawn. Either way, it's curtains for Black.
