White to move &
win
There is an old saying in chess, When you see a good move,
look for a better one. This position is an excellent example. At
first glance it is obvious that White is winning easily; he has three pieces
on the attack, and Black's only defender can be captured on the move by
1.Qxh7+. Wait! Look for a better move!
1.Qxf7+ Yes, 1.Qxh7 wins a knight and also the
game, but not as fast as this simple little mate-in-two.
Always seek the easiest path to victory! Don't give your
opponent any more chances to get lucky than you need to.

Not quite a smothered mate because of the empty g8-square, but it's
pretty close!
