Solution

This position is pictured in a photograph of Emanuel Lasker, and in Chess Explorations (1996) Edward Winter states that the composer had not yet been identified.  Do you know who composed this interesting problem?

1.Rf7  Edward Winter gives the following solution: 1.Rg8 Rxg8 2.Rh8 Rxh8 3.g7 Rg8 4.h7 and mates in two.  1...Rg8 2.g7 Bc4 3.Rf8+ Rxf8 4.gxf8Q+ Kxf8 5.Rh8 mate.
